A SHOUTING match between leading Sydney jockey Jim Cassidy and Melbourne trainer Tony Vasil after the defeat of two-year-old Psychologist at Rosehill eight days ago is set to be investigated by Racing NSW stewardsIt is understood Cassidy has lodged a complaint over Vasil's conduct. It is alleged Vasil gave Cassidy a tongue lashing after the final race and followed the jockey to his car.Stewards inquired into Psychologist's run in the Magic Night Stakes and took evidence on the day from Cassidy and Vasil.Vasil told stewards, "I'm furious", and, "after 300 metres I thought, what's going on here?""I told him she had blinkers on for the first time and to begin positively."They began that hard but he made no attempt to restrain her. When you go your first 600 metres in 34 seconds, you cannot win."I ride all of my own work, I'm not stupid. What I saw astounded me."Cassidy responded by saying: "He did not have the guts to come and say anything to me before. Out there he said to me if it leads it will either win or run last."I bet he didn't say that in here [in the stewards' room]."I certainly wasn't breaking [the horse's] jaw like a cowboy. I know it was going quick but what else could I do?" said Cassidy. The complaint will be heard on Thursday.
